Starr report - NYPOST.com

Starr report - NYPOST.com Now that Fox has finally confirmed Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as the new "American Idol" judges (joining Randy Jackson), it's interesting to note that Tyler was a guest at one of the "Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp" events run by creator David Fishof, in which everyday people ("campers") play in a band with real rockers.

The concept's been turned into a VH1 Classic series executive-produced by Mark Burnett and premiering Oct. 16 at 10 p.m.

"I think Steven will be a great judge on 'American Idol,' " Fishof says. "Steven took the job because of his recent appearance at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. He felt that jamming with my campers opened his eyes. He's going to be wonderful and has a lot to share about being a rock star.
