This camp features some of rock’s greatest musicians who have written, recorded and toured with some of the biggest stars in the industry and have sold over a billion combined records. Headlining this camp will be Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, Danny Kortchmar, and Russ Kunkel. Other participating drummers include Jim Keltner, Alan White, Hal Blaine, John “JR” Robinson, Joe Vitale and many more to be announced.
This camp is open to musicians from beginner to advanced: guitarists, keyboardists, bassists, vocalists, and of course, drummers. If you are currently in a band and would like to bring the entire band to a camp, this is the perfect fit for you! The theme for this camp is to learn and perfect the art of being in a band from the synergy of playing together to perfecting the band’s stage presence. RRFC: "Rudy, what were the top three things you enjoyed about being a counselor at the recent ‘Yes’ camp?”
Rudy: “I've been a counselor for over six years and the experiences at each camp is always so fulfilling and rewarding that it's tough to just pick three so I'll break them down into three categories. 1. My Camp: Our band Fish Out of Order was one of the best group of musicians I've ever had the pleasure of playing with at RRFC. Though some of them came mainly to play side by side with members of YES, the overall camaraderie and willingness to play a variety of musical styles allowed for each individual to shine during our performances at the Rouge lounge. 2. The Other Camps: Since all of us counselors are available to every camper it's always so rewarding to do a one on one session with a camper that needs some help with a bass part of a song that their camp is performing. 3. The Counselors and YES: I've been a fan longer than I've been a professional musician so I always thrilling to play with musician who inspire me. So getting to play with all the amazingly talented counselors and jam with YES is definitely was significant highlight of the camp.” | ||||||||
  For the ultimate Beatles fan, Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp is hosting the Fab Four Fantasy Camp Oct. 9-13 at its state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas. Campers will spend either 3 or 5 days learning music's most revered catalogue, which will culminate in live performances at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino Las Vegas. The Fab Faux will be on-site on October 13th to give campers tips on playing songs from the Lennon/McCartney songbook as well as perform a private concert. Fab Four Fantasy Camp counselors include Laurence Juber (Wings) and Denny Seiwell (Paul McCartney and Wings), Gary Wright (Dream Weaver), Denny Laine, who has performed in WINGS, and also has written hit songs with The Moody Blues and more being added. May Pang, author of the NY Times best seller, "Loving John" will be on hand to do a Q&A session with campers so they can pick her brain and learn about all things John Lennon and their time together.
